4-6 pm Happy Hour with Stephanie Burt @ High Wire Distillery

Did you know that exercise can be fun?? No, we're not referencing surfing or playing on a sports team, but actually exercising your palate!

Your palate and how it connects to your brain is something you can exercise your whole life, and the more you taste, the better everything tastes.

Stephanie Burt, food writer and host/producer of the Southern Fork will partner with James Beard-nominated High Wire Distilling (Charleston local experience extraordinaire) to decode words like "balance," explain tips to learn how to taste like a pro, and to give you an excuse to try all those samples in Total Wine and Costco on your next visit!

Learn the ins and outs of a great cocktail while sipping them. It's the easiest exercise ever.

BJ Dennis, a local chef who stepped out of restaurant kitchens to dedicate himself to educating Charleston and its visitors about Gullah cuisine. "I just always loved my culture," he says of how he became Gullah cuisine's preeminent ambassador. "I started doing pop-ups, and it was almost a renaissance; not just with the food, but the culture and saving the land of the Gullah people."
