Have questions? Here is the answers to some of our most asked questions.
Are your classes hands-on or demonstration?
Our classes are a combination of hands-on and demonstration classes. With our new kitchens, we have seating at the counter for those who prefer to relax and watch the cooking while right behind them we now have cook stations complete with induction burners, cookware, knives and all the tools necessary to prepare the meal yourself. You can also search our website for the type of class you are looking for - hands-on or demonstration.
How many people can you have in a class?
Classes size varies between 12-20 people.
Back deck and beach classes can accommodate more. Call for details.
Are there any age restrictions?
Ages 16 and Older. Students between the ages of 16-18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Where are you located?
Our classes take place in our new 4,000 square foot teaching kitchens on beautiful Solomons Island, Maryland.
14624 Solomons Island Rd. S.
We would like to arrange a private class? Can we do that?
We offer private classes all the time. And because it’s just for you – the topic can be about anything you like. If you want to learn better knife skills while making Spanish tapas, we can do that. It’s all about you! We book private classes and events 8 weeks in advance.
Can we bring our own wine?
Because we have our own liquor license, the State of Maryland does not permit you to bring your own alcohol. But we do have a beautiful bar and a wonderful selection of beers and wines to choose from.
What is dress like for your classes?
We are very casual – no need to get dressed up, unless you want to!
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
Absolutely! Just let us know when you sign up for a class so chef can make the necessary adjustments to the menu. We do this all the time. 🙂
What is the cost for a couples class?
Couples classes are $150/person.
Do you have to be a couple to attend a couples class?
No you do not! Occasionally we have have friends/relatives come together. There’s no rule you have to be a couple.
