No Thyme to Cook Hosts Next Artisan Fair Will Be Held October 27, 2024
Solomons, MD, October 11, 2024: No Thyme to Cook (NTTC) is excited to announce its next Sip & Shop event on October 27, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. A variety of Maryland craftsmen and farmers will display their wares during this six-hour event. NTTC’s bar will offer drinks for purchase plus Nativo will offer a delicious menu selection. A mini-cooking class, Thyme for a Taste, $20, will take place on the second floor and teach how to make Spicy Pumpkin Soup. Paula J. Johnson, author, also will talk about her new book, Julia Child's Kitchen: The Design, Tools, Stories, and Legacy of an Iconic Space, and do a signing. There is never a charge for admittance to the fair.
“If you're looking for an unforgettable family-friendly fall experience this October, look no further than our Sip & Shop artisan fair,” said Chef Gwyn Novak, CEO and President of NTTC. Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from a wide selection of handmade items, including jewelry, creative décor, glass creations, and other beautiful novelty items. “Plus,” Novak adds, “my friend and author, Paula J. Johnson, will talk about her new book about Julia Child’s kitchen.” An afternoon signing of the book will be held. Events Manager Donna House adds, “a mini-cooking class called Thyme for a Taste, will teach attendees how to make Spicy Pumpkin Soup, the perfect addition to your fall menu,” The class is only $20, and reservations via the website are suggested.

During Sip & Shop, Nativo, www.argentinechef.com/shopnativo will sell empañadas to satisfy hungry guests. Wines, beers, and a wide array of other beverages, including sodas and water, will be available at the NTTC bar. A mini-cooking class, Thyme for a Taste, $20, will teach guests how to make Spicy Pumpkin Soup as well as give an introduction into the classes offered at NTTC, and will be held inside on the second floor. In addition, the author Paula J. Johnson will discuss her new book, Julia Child’s Kitchen, and sign copies. The event itself will be held in NTTC’s parking lot. Public restrooms are available inside NTTC. The event takes place rain or shine.
