August Sip and Shop at No Thyme to Cook
August 25th Artisan Fair to Feature an optional Cooking Class
Solomons, MD, August 19, 2024: No Thyme to Cook (NTTC) will host its next artisan fair, Sip & Shop, on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 11 am to 5 pm. Twenty-two local craftsmen and producers will display their wares during this six-hour event. NTTC’s bar will offer drinks for purchase plus CaliWoode Kitchen and Nativo will offer a delicious menu selection. A mini cooking class, Thyme for a Taste, also will be taught by Chef Gwyn on the second floor. There is never a charge for admittance to the fair.
“Solomons Island has embraced Sip & Shop as a must-attend monthly craft fair,” notes Chef Gwyn Novak, CEO and President of NTTC. “From handmade jewelry to glass creations, unique handmade items and delicious foods, the artisans offer a wide range of gifts for yourself, family, and friends.” Donna House, Events Manager for NTTC adds, “A mini-cooking class, this time about pickling, adds to the fun.” Thyme for a Taste will be taught by Chef Gwyn and offered in two sessions, either 11:30 am or 1:00 pm for only $20; pre-purchasing your ticket to the class guarantees your spot.

During Sip & Shop, both CaliWoode Kitchen, www.thewoodeco.org, and Nativo, www.argentinechef.com/shopnativo, will sell charcuterie boards as well as empañadas, respectively, to satisfy any hunger pains. Wines, beers, and a wide array of other beverages, including sodas and water, will be available at the NTTC bar. Chef Gwyn will teach a mini cooking class, Thyme for a Taste, $20, about pickling as well as give an introduction into the classes offered at NTTC, and will be held inside on the second floor. The event itself will be held in NTTC’s parking lot. Public restrooms are available inside NTTC. The event takes place rain or shine.
