Wine Fest Returns to No Thyme to Cook

Swirl, Savor, and Shop at No Thyme to Cook’s Second Annual Celebration of Wines

Solomons, MD, April 19, 2022: Join No Thyme to Cook (NTTC) on Saturday, May 14, 2022, for its second annual Wine Festival. Enjoy samples of wines from near and far, plus taste delicious foods and shop wine-related wares, all while listening to live music. The festival runs from 11 am to 7 pm. Timed tickets for entry are required to attend.

NTTC’s Second Annual Wine Festival will feature pours from the local vineyard, Port of Leonardtown, together with those from France, Italy, California, Argentina, Spain, Japan, and more. Food will be provided by NTTC’s food truck, Steamers Seafood Shack, as well as breads and cheeses from Lyon Bakery (lyonbakery.com), macarons from Euphoria Bakehouse (facebook.com/EuphoriaBakehouse), plus sweet treats by the Southern Maryland Bakehouse (facebook.com/SOMDBAKEHOUSE).

Local artisans that will be offering their crafts for sale at the Wine Fest include gins and vodkas from Barr Hill, caledoniaspirits.com; handcrafted wood items from DeBons Woodworks; maple syrup from Dixon Family Farms, dixon-family-farm.com; flowers from Hidden Lake Flower Truck; cork creations from Muzzy’s Gifts; and wine-related pottery from Occasionally Round Pottery. In addition, attendees will be serenaded by live musicians throughout the day. Performers include Run Catch Rain, Mike Trujillo, Shane Graham, and the Runaway Guns.

“Given last year’s overwhelming support for our Wine Fest, we are excited to bring this event back to Solomons,” Chef Gwyn Novak, founder and President of NTTC, says. Noting that a complete culinary experience includes beverages as well as food, Novak is proud that the wines available during this event will elevate the palette. She adds, “With live music and food from Steamers as well as other local vendors, the Wine Fest is unlike any other on the island.”

Pre-event tickets are $25/person, which includes 10 tasting tickets, or $10/person for designated drivers and those aged 7 to 20 years old, and are available now through May 13th. At the gate, the ticket price will be $30/person or $15/person, respectively. Children 6 and under are always free.

To control crowd size, guests are encouraged to reserve their tickets in advance and select their entry window: 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm. Tickets are limited.
