No Thyme to Cook Celebrates Women’s History Month in Grand Fashion
Month-long Celebration ends with a Fashion Show, Proceeds to Benefit Dress for Success
Solomons, MD, March 9, 2022: No Thyme to Cook (NTTC) is celebrating Women’s History Month in fine style. Throughout March, NTTC is offering classes spotlighting famous female chefs and donating a portion of its proceeds from bottles sold of Riboli family wines to Dress for Success. The month concludes with a Fashion Show featuring Cabi fashion, which also will benefit the charity.
“I am excited to honor the contributions made by women to the culinary field with a series of classes,” notes Gwyn Novak, founder and CEO of NTTC. The schedule includes classes featuring the Grande Doyenne of southern cooking, Edna Lewis on March 17, and the first female White House chef Cristeta Comerford on March 24.
“In addition, proceeds from bottles we sell of Riboli wines will be donated to Dress for Success. We selected this winery because its matriarch is turning one-hundred years old this year.” NTTC will offer Riboli’s Maddalena Cabernet Sauvignon, Maddalena Chardonnay, and San Simeon Viognier at its bar throughout the month.
Finally, March concludes at NTTC with a Fashion Show featuring models walking the catwalk in Cabi clothing—which will be available for purchase following the show. Novak notes, “The admission price for the Fashion Show is $50 and includes one glass of Riboli wine and appetizers made by NTTC.” Twenty percent of the ticket price will be donated to Dress of Success. “We’re also asking our guests to bring either gently used clothing or make an additional monetary donation during the show, which we will match.”
