Troegenator BBQ Pork Ribs

Troegenator BBQ Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1 c minced onion (food processor)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 (1 inch) pieces fresh ginger root, minced

  • 1 ½ c ketchup

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • ¾ cup molasses

  • 1 bottle Troegenator Double Bock beer

  • ¼ c apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 1/8 tsp Habanero pepper minced

In a food processor or blender place chopped onion, garlic, ginger and habanero and puree. If the mixture is too thick to be pureed, add 1 Tbsp water to thin it out. Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan, then add pureed ingredients. Sauté ingredients for 2 minutes, until fragrant, then add the remaining ingredients. Simmer on medium-low heat for 1-2 hours until sauce thickens, stirring occasionally. After cooking, cool and store in the refrigerator.
