Black Forest Brownie Bars
Ingredients
4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
1/3 C. butter, softened
1 box Devil’s food cake mix
2 eggs
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
¼ C. sugar
21 oz. cherry pie filling
Preheat oven to 350F.
Line 13x9 baking pan with parchment paper. Spray with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, microwave the chocolate for 1 minute, stir and reheat to melt if necessary.
Add butter, cake mix and 1 egg to the melted chocolate. Beat with mixer until crumbly.
Reserve ¾ C crumb mixture for later. Press remaining crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 10 mins.
Meanwhile, beat cream cheese and sugar in a clean bowl until blended. Add remaining egg, mixing well. Spread over the crust. Cover with pie filling. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake for 35 minutes or until the center is set.
