Women Chefs: Julia Child

  • No Thyme to Cook 14624 Solomons Island Road South Solomons, MD, 20688 United States (map)

Celebrate Women’s History Month with us as we explore four of the most influential female chefs in America. From Julia Child and Alice Waters (Chez Panisse/farm to table) to Edna Lewis (doyenne of southern cuisine) and Cristeta Comerford (first female White House chef), we’ll take a deep dive into their extraordinary lives and what inspired them – all while enjoying a meal showcasing their most iconic dishes.

After attending culinary school in France, Julia Child collaborated on the cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking, which became a bestseller upon its 1961 publication. Child followed with the launch of The French Chef on the small screen, and she cemented her reputation as an industry icon through additional books and TV appearances.
