Swirl, Savor, and Shop at No Thyme to Cook’s Third Annual Celebration of all Things Wine - May 6, 2023

Solomons, MD, April 3, 2023: Join No Thyme to Cook (NTTC) on Saturday, May 6, 2022, for its third annual Wine Festival. Enjoy samples of wines from near and far, plus taste delicious foods and shop wine-related wares, all while listening to live music. The festival runs from 11 am to 7 pm. Timed tickets for entry can be purchased at https://www.nothymetocook.com/specials-events. Every guest will receive an engraved wine glass to commemorate the day.

“We are excited to bring our Wine Fest back to Solomons for a third straight year,” Chef Gwyn Novak, founder and President of NTTC, says. Because a complete culinary experience includes beverages as well as food, she is proud that the wines available during this event will elevate the palette and enhance enjoyment of all cuisines. Novak adds, “New this year is a Premium Experience, which includes a private tented area with seating, special wine pourings, a charcuterie board, additional tasting tickets, and discounts with select vendors. It promises to be a great time!” Because this year’s event coincides with the coronation of King Charles III, Novak expects more than a few glasses will be raised to honor the new monarch.

NTTC’s Third Annual Wine Festival will feature pours from the local vineyards Ambrosia and Port of Leonardtown, together with tastes from France, Italy, California, Argentina, Spain, Japan, and more. Food will be provided by Blue Wind Gourmet food truck (bwgfoodtruck.square.site), breads and cheeses from Lyon Bakery (lyonbakery.com), plus olive oils and balsamic vinegars from Oakmont Olive Oil Company (oakmontoliveoilcompany.com). In addition, attendees will be serenaded by live musicians throughout the day. Performers include Kevin Pollack, Cris Mimsy & Friends, and Desperately Seeking Awesome.

Local artisans that will be offering their crafts for sale at this year’s Wine Fest include gins and vodkas from Barr Hill,caledoniaspirits.com; tasty delights from Jackie’s Sweet Treats; original art pieces from Kathleen Moran Art, kathleenmoranart.com;  cork designs from Muzzy’s Gifts, instagram.com/i_am_muzzy_; handcrafted jewelry from Swamp Witch Metals, instagram.com/swampwitchmetals; wine-related housewares from Vine Things, vinethings.com; and fused glass creations from Jen Watson. In addition, Kristin Johnson will be making personalized t-shirts and mugs for attendees during the festival.

Tickets are available at $30/person, featuring 10 tasting tickets, or $10/person for designated drivers and those aged 7 to 20 years old. At the gate, the ticket price will increase to $35/person or $15/person, respectively. Children 6 and under are always free. Premium Experience tickets are $99/person, and extremely limited.

To control crowd size, guests are encouraged to reserve their tickets in advance and select their entry window: 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm. Tickets are limited.

In order to purchase your tickets, simply go to https://www.nothymetocook.com/specials-events. The event will be held rain or shine.
