Smoked Salmon with Dill Sauce

  • 2 oz. sliced cured or smoked wild Alaskan salmon 

  • ½ red onion, finely diced 

  • 1 Tbsp. capers, rinsed

  • 1 Tbsp. fresh dill, chopped for garnish

  • Freshly ground pepper to taste

Dill Sauce

  • 1/3 C. sour cream 

  • 1/3 C. mayonnaise 

  • 1 Tbsp. finely chopped onion

  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

  • 1 tsp. prepared horseradish

  • 3/4 tsp. dill weed

  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt

  • Pepper to taste

Combine all of these ingredients for the sauce in a bowl and chill until service.

To serve…

Place a slice of smoked salmon on top of half a slice of baguette or cucumber slice.

Top with a dollop of the sauce and garnish with onions, capers, cracked black pepper and fresh dill.
